"I really feel I am on the start of something, the begining of the journey. It is really good to have someone to talk to about it."

We are all unique individuals and as such we are the greatest experts on ourselves, as only we know how we feel about any specific subject or in any given situation.
No one can tell us how we are feeling or what we are thinking even though people will often try to guess our thoughts and feelings. When this does happen it is usually the other person trying to project their own thoughts and feelings onto us.
Counselling aims to help the individual find their own way forward and allow us to be who they really are. Often we can get caught up in what is expected of us or how society dictates we should be rather than ensuring our own personal needs are met.
I am a professional qualified counsellor to accreditation level, but first and foremost I am a human being with a sense of humour and a variety of life experiences. Using all these skills together, I support my clients through their process of growing awareness and change.
"Chris is a most reliable and committed counsellor. He has a good sense of humour which I always feel helps the supervisory relationship!"
Jennifer Dunlop - Clinical Supervisor
I work with clients at their own pace. Supporting and encouraging positive change. Giving clients the tools to explore things in new and different ways.

Tavistock Relationships was commissioned by the NHS to develop a couple-based treatment for depression. I am an accredited "Couple Therapy for Depression" practitioner, delivering treatment recognised by the NHS' Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Services.
